About GMTC

Who is it for?

No Matter what age, race, or gender you are, GMTC is open to you. The key requirement is that you are hungry to know more about the things of God.

Ask yourself the following questions and if you answer yes to any of them GMTC can be the place to find the answers.

Do you feel stuck with your relationship with God?
Do you want to learn more about the Word of God?
Do you have a hard time defending or backing up your Christian faith?
Do you want to seek out God's plan and purpose for your life?
Do you want to take your faith to the next level?
Do you believe God is calling you to ministry in His church?
Do you want to be discipled by proven, faithful, Godly leaders?

What is it like?

The school has a one year program as well as a second year program for those who have graduated the first year.

Both programs are life changing, character forming years that take you out of your comfort zone and press you forward in your walk with God. The first year program focuses on 'Making Ministry Minded Disciples' while the second year focuses on 'Making Ministry Minded Leaders'. Both programs are ten months: September to June.

The first year program has classes all throughout the ten months while taking time to focus three different outreaches. The first outreach is local and includes a Halloween Alternative event as well as a Christmas Banquet for single-parent families, both hosted by Kelowna Christian Center. The second outreach is provincial and usually involves the class traveling to a city in British Columbia, serving local churches, sharing the Gospel message, and ministering to people. The third outreach is international and again is intended to serve local ministries and take the gospel to people.

The second year program takes seven months of the year for classes and the other three for a time of mentorship under another leader or ministry. This is different for each individual but is meant to draw out the giftings and leadership skills in the students.

Each week of classes is only four days - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday - from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The typical day will consist of morning devotions and worship with various leaders, a one hour class, and a 3 hour class, with breaks in between.

The average class size has been about twelve students, ranging from eight to - just this year - twenty-six. This creates an intimate group of classmates and allows the leadership of the school to develop close pastoral relationship.

Who we are?

Global Ministry Training Center has come directly out of the heart of the leadership of Kelowna Christian Center. And this is discipleship.

Coming out of this church is a desire to see every Christian equipped with the knowledge of God and His Word, and be able to share that knowledge with the world.

KCC is a Charismatic, Non-denominational, Evangelical Christian Community that is passionate about ministering to those who are in need and sharing the Good News with everyone.
