First Year

CHRISTIAN APOLOGETICS

Study the biblical, historical and factual evidences which support the evangelical Christian faith in the context of a secular world, to prepare a personal, intelligent response to unbelievers.

ATTRIBUTES of GOD

This essential course will help guide your understanding of who God is and how He reveals Himself to us. Based upon A.W. Tozer's book "The Knowledge of the Holy" this course will challenge the way you perceive the Almighty.

BIBLE RESEARCH METHODS

Over the full year, you will learn strategies and tools to find out "what the Bible says." Each student will focus on a single area of Christian doctrine through translation comparisons, study of words from Greek and Hebrew, commentaries and other means. This study culminates with writing an extended paper and giving a teaching on the personal and spiritual results of your research.

BIBLE STUDY METHODS II & O.T. SURVEY

This course will be taught on Friday mornings in an exciting and unique course combining these two valuable subjects. Using the basics of “Inductive Bible Study”, with overviews of Old Testament Books opens the word in a powerful way.

CHRISTOLOGY

This course teaches what is foundational to all spiritual growth and ministry, presenting a vision of Christ's nature, Person, and abilities.

CHURCH HISTORY OVERVIEW

Tthis course is designed to give the student an appreciation of the conception, birth and growth of the living organism called the "church", from Christ to now.

COVENANT RELATIONSHIPS

This course looks at our covenant keeping God, covenant, the base of Godly relationships and need to be people of character and integrity.

WORLD RELIGIONS

A survey of strategically chosen contemporary belief systems, with an eye on sound Christian doctrine, so you can see the differences clearly, guard against deception and be ready to explain the Truth of the gospel to people around you.

EVANGELISM

We will learn the basic elements of one on one and team evangelism. We will work on outreach strategies and implement them in our homes, streets, and schools and during the outreaches of the school year.

THE FUNCTIONAL FAMILY

In an age where many if not most families are considered dysfunctional we have a clear need to see and know what is a functional family. Together Greg and Christine Bitgood take from their many years of family pastoral experience and their own home to bring forth the key issues facing the family today from a godly biblical perspective.

HOLY SPIRIT

We will study the Biblical perspective of who Holy Spirit is and how He works in the life of the believer. This will include an in-depth look at the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as well as an overview of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit through His imparted gifts.

IN CHRIST PRINCIPLES

This course will spend extensive time studying the "in Him principles", of who Christ is in us, so that we find our identity in Christ. "For in Him we live, and move, and have our being ..." (Acts 17:28).

KING OF KINGS

The kingdom of heaven stands in direct contrast to the kingdom of this world in the book of Daniel. In this course we look at the prophetic word speaking about the King of Kings and his coming rule over the kingdoms of this world.

KINGDOM AUTHORITY

This course has been designed to counter the lawlessness in the world today and its impact on Christ's Lordship over His people in His Church.

LIFE LISTENING AND LIFE SKILLS

Developing the principles that make for good marriages, families, and productive lives.

LIFE PURPOSE

To everything there is a season; a time for every purpose under heaven. (Eccles. 3:1) That includes you. To discover that purpose and fulfill it is crucial to living a fulfilled life. This course will open your eyes to God’s design for you.

NETWORKING

Using the textbook and course from Willow Creek Church, we discover our Passion, our Spiritual Gifting and our Personal Style to develop a profile that steers us to serve in a effective ministry

PERSONAL DISCIPLESHIP

Develops daily disciplines in Bible meditation, prayer, praise, giving, etc. as well as an integrated study into discipling techniques, the "parenting" of those newly born-again.

ROMANS 8 (Life in the Son)

Takes an in-depth look at the provision that is made, as well as the value of living through the Spirit of life in Christ. Not only is this about redemption of man but the blessed hope of man and glorious restoration of creation.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Develops a world view consistent with Scripture and gives each believer a part to play in the present "crisis" of warfare in the realm of the spirit, educating them concerning the spiritual battle and training them in warfare strategies.

TEAM DYNAMICS

This is a three day outing with the class, using this time to develop team relationships, servant-hood principles, and the basics of honour.

TIME MANAGEMENT

Looks at the value of planning and using the time you have wisely. Project planning, goal setting and daily management are elements of this course.

WORSHIP & DEVOTIONS

Three mornings a week will start off with a one hour devotional time where students will participate in worship, prayer, personal sharing, corporately learning to dialogue with God and communion.

 

Second Year

SCHOOL OF BIBLICAL STUDIES

The first ten weeks of the second year program is directed to in-depth Bible Studies. We will learn the Inductive Bible Study method and apply that method to selected books of the bible. Starting from big picture overviews of a book, developing themes and outlines, we will move down to digging deeper in a verse or passage. Our objective is to discover what the original author meant and what the original listener heard or read. This course will change the way you read and study your bible.

ABUSE COUNSELING

The purpose of this course is to educate students about emotional, physical and sexual abuse and the impact this has on people’s lives. Using Isaiah 61 as our model, the students are equipped to aid in the healing process of such abuse.

CHURCH STRUCTURES

There are three main approaches to how churches have governed themselves. We will examine all three of these styles of government. We will look closely at what the New Testament has to say about Church Government.

CHURCH ADMINISTRATION

Here we examine the gift and role of administration in operation of the church. This includes organizational structure, function, departments committees, and constitution of a church society.

CHURCH PLANTING

Through the experience of people who have strategically pioneered church plants you will get a picture of the character and strategies necessary to develop a church plant strategy.

HEALING PRAYER and ALTER MINISTRY

This one week course looks at what healing prayer involves and how to uncover root lies, fears, and belief systems. Alter etiquette is the basics of what to do and what not to do when you are praying with someone. Become a healing helper not a hinderer.

CHRISTIAN ETHICS

Grace or Law? Being verses doing? How do we hold people accountable? Do we hold people accountable? All of these questions are constantly coming to the Christian Leader. This course will help the Christian Leader discover the underlying principles to all ethical questions and how Jesus calls us to address them.

PREACHING the GOSPEL LIKE MARK

Mark had a unique way of communicating the gospel message to his predominantly gentile audience. You to will learn to develop skills in communicating to a “Bible ignorant” generation.

PRINCIPLES of LEADERSHIP

In this course we examine concepts of leadership, from a biblical perspective, and ways to effectively lead God's people.

MENTORSHIP

The last ten weeks is dedicated to a ministry practical. The student will come along side a mentor in the church or on the mission field, serve the vision of that ministry and develop the “ministry gifting” unique to the calling on them.

MISSIONS

Every year during our missions conference we have missionaries from the field teach from experience, missions and the task of preparing to go to the mission field.
