Dean of Students

Ed and Lisa Berk

Pastor Ed and Lisa attended GMTC in 1989. It was then that they were inspired not just to go to church but to be an active part of Kelowna Christian Center; beginning with greeting and later serving together in the youth and young adults ministry. Ed was ordained in 1997 and has since joined the pastoral staff of KCC. In 1994 Ed and Lisa were invited to oversee the Global Ministry Training Center where they have worked together in the administration and development of the school. They are directly involved in its day to day operation and in the lives of the students. Their heart is to see all who attend GMTC grow in the character and knowledge of God and given the opportunity to discover the gifts within them. Each year they are blessed to see how God touches and changes the lives of many students, realizing it’s not just the program, but the faith and desire that dwells within each one to respond to the Spirit of God.

She is a certified teacher in the BC Independant School Branch and has been teaching children since the age of seventeen. She teaches that if you can successfully reach a child with the Gospel, you can reach anyone.

She believes the quality of the ministry people give depends on the quality of the people and the skills they bring to the ministry. She loves the Church, and she loves the hurting people of the world, and she wants to send out prepared, excellent, well established Christians to minister among them.

Brodie Kalamen
Brodie is an associate Pastor at Kelowna Christian Center ministering primarily to youth and young adults. He has three years of post-secondary education through OUC and have completed both the first and second year of GMTC. He sees that the students of GMTC are attending because they want to be a support and model of Jesus Christ to their local church body and their community. The instruction which they are given supports disciplines that are both personal and spiritual which ultimately assist them in reaching that desired goal.

David Kalamen
As an apostolic leader, Pastor David is responsible for the primary vision of KCC, and accountable to see that God's presence is passionately pursued and His purposes are implemented, for the city, nation and fields beyond. He has been teaching, discipling, and mentoring for 32 years in the ministry. David received his training as a graduate of Western Pentecostal Bible College, He has B.A. degrees in Religion and Political Science from Southern California College, and is a member of the international faculty of Wagner Leadership Institute. He considers it a privilege and a responsibility to pass on the knowledge of who God is, what He has done, and who He has done it through, to the next generation; and, an honor to be afforded the opportunity to sow the gift, the calling, the anointing, the character and the experience of what God has done to us, in us and through us, for the empowering of the emerging Church.

Dan Knorr
Currently, Dan's ministry in the KCC Society includes Associate Youth Pastor and Chaplain of both Heritage Christian Schools, campus and online. He graduated from Heritage Christian School and has since gone on to complete the full two year GMTC program as well as pastoral mentorship through KCC. He participates in teaching GMTC because he believes in and supports a bible school that trains people of all ages to grow and become more like Jesus Christ. He knows the staff and heart of this school, and has seen the depth it has brought to his wife's and his own relationship with God. He loves this school because it develops Christians to have expanding biblical knowledge, build relationships with other follower of Jesus, be trained to do the work of the ministry, and be more like Christ.
